Now More Than Ever Good Dental Habits Are Critical

NOW MORE THAN EVER GOOD DENTAL HABITS ARE CRITICAL 1

In the midst of the current global pandemic and national emergency, life has changed for everybody. Right now, millions of people in the US are being urged to stay home and postpone everyday concerns — including routine dental appointments.

Now more than ever, it’s important that you follow good oral health habits. Brush after every meal. Floss daily. Use mouthwash. And follow any special advice given to you by your dental professional.

Taking care of your teeth can help carry you through to when this crisis is over without experiencing any major dental issues.

Access to Care

In some states, including California, dental boards have recommended that patients suspend non-essential visits to their dentist’s offices. While Florida has not yet taken this step, state health officials could implement it in the future if the situation here gets worse.

While this may or may not happen, you can be assured of two things:

1.) Patients who require immediate or urgent dental care will continue to have access to the services they require

2.) When this crisis passes — and it will eventually be over — your dental provider will once again provide comprehensive dental services for you and your family.

In the meantime, it is very important that you don’t ignore your oral health. Just because you may be temporarily working from home or not socializing with your friends doesn’t mean you should cease taking care of your teeth.

In fact, it’s more critical now that you follow good oral health habits that protect your teeth. This will help keep you from developing or agitating routine problems that under normal circumstances might require a visit to your dentist.

Now More Than Ever Good Dental Habits Are Critical – We’re All in This Together

This health crisis eventually will end. When it does, life will slowly return to normal.

In the meantime, take care of your health, including your oral health, while watching out for other people. This includes your family, your neighbors, and everybody in your community.
