4 Must Have Oral Hygiene Essentials for Traveling

4 Must Have Oral Hygiene Essentials for Traveling

When you are on the road, it can be disruptive to your normal routine. Whether you are traveling out of town on vacation or going to a new city for a few days on business, it sometimes seems like your whole life is thrown out of kilter.

But that doesn’t mean you can ignore the health of your teeth and gums. Maintaining good oral hygiene habits all the time — even when you aren’t at home — will help keep your teeth healthy, white, and clean.

To help make traveling a little less stressful on your oral hygiene health, here are four absolute essentials you need to pack in your suitcase.

Toothbrush

The first and most obvious essential to pack when traveling is your toothbrush. Bring your regular toothbrush in a plastic travel case or spring for a new one that is still in its original packaging to keep it clean and safe while it’s packed away.

Toothpaste

Before you go, make sure to pick up a travel size tube of your favorite toothpaste. These are available at most chain drugstores, dollar stores, and even big name stores like Wal-Mart and Target. Having just a little bit means you don’t have to worry about packing too much but you still have enough to brush daily.

Mouthwash

While some hotels will supply convenient bottles of complimentary mouthwash, you can’t always count on them being there waiting for you. So it’s always a good idea to pick up a travel size mouthwash while doing your pre-trip shopping.

Dental Floss

Flossing needs to be part of your regular oral hygiene routine. So before you go, make sure you grab your dental floss and include it in your baggage. Most floss containers are sealable so you can be sure it will be clean and safe when you need it.

These four oral hygiene essentials will help you maintain your normal routine while keeping your teeth healthy and safe wherever you go.
